FC Dallas Get Redemption With Win Over Toronto FC 3-2

FC Dallas defeat Toronto FC 3-2

As the National anthem was sung players, fans, and staff alike let it be known their here to see our boys leave the pitch with a victory. With all the distractions of outside issues weighing on the mind of the fans and a thunderstorm with Toyota Stadium in its sights. FC Dallas was not detoured, with their captain and defensive spear head Matt Hedges back in the line up they looked egar to prove themselves after the blowout lose to the Rapids. The teams hunger and aggressive offensive approach made sure that Toronto FC felt the teams presences early in the Match.

The whistle blows and the game starts with a bang, 40 seconds into the first minute of the match Moises Hernandez feeds a beautiful through pass to Fabian Castillo  to set him up for a sinker into the left corner! Fabian keeps pressure on the visiting teams backline while the crowd battles Toronto fans through drums and club chants. One thing is for sure, everyone involved in this match is getting dirty.

On the approach of the 10th minute Fabian is becoming a thorn in the side of Toronto's defense. With a steal Blas Perez moves down the middle of the field like greased lighting, in total control of the ball Perez passes to Fabian and he curves into the right corner of the net. For the next 16 minutes Fabian is hell bent on getting under this defenses skin, and i think it worked quite well in there favor. With a foul on the edge of the penalty box Toronto has a chance to score and get back in this match. But the opportunity was squandered.

FC Dallas fans braved the thunderstorms to cheer on the
home team.
With dark clouds and lighting making a a theatrical entrance to the stadium Blas Perez saw an opening. With an aggressive deflection of a chip pass followed by a steal Perez moves with grace and speed through Toronto's backline to put the ball in the right corner of the net! The score is now 3-0 and the the thunderstorm has put the game to a halt in the 41st minute. And just in time as Dallas looked for more openings to expose Toronto's sloppy defense.

After a three and a half hour delay because of weather the game resumes with only 4 minutes left. With the score of 3-0 Dallas open the second half with the same focus and determination as the first half, a three and a half hour delay has not swayed the outcome Dallas is working for. One person who noticed this is Micheal Bradley, with a unnecessary foul out frustration Bradley was serenaded by Dallas fans with some...colorful words.

As the midfielders for Dallas devour Toronto's backline tension and frustration rises, but on a steal run Sebastian Giovinco manages to slip pass the defense and score a goal in the 83rd minute. This does not make Dallas back off or slow down one bit. In the 89th minute Toronto is awarded a freekick just outside the box. Giovinco steps up again and hammers a ball into the left corner. Not dominating the first half with possession and only having 37% possession in the second half Dallas walk off the field with well fought win and redemption.
