Tuesday is normally just another night in the NBA, but last night we witnessed four NBA all-time milestones. Some good and some infamous...

#1 and #9 and the Same Damn Time

With a fade-away jump shot over the Sacramento King's Carl Landry, Dirk Nowitzki surpassed Akeem Olajuwon to become the #9 on the NBA All-time scoring list. He also became #1 on the list for foreign born players. After the game, Dirk was quick to point out that he knows that the "Dream Shake" was a more superior move than his one-leg fade-away jumper.

His German coach that raised him on the court Holger Geschwinder was quick to point out that he is only #9 afterall in is usual non-enthusiastic way. But he will pass more players this season.

#1 with Infamy

Kobe Bryant is a five-time NBA champion and 16-time All-Star. He can add that he has missed the most shots in NBA history. Purely a product of playing 18 years as the #1 offensive option, but Kobe hate is rampant as always. You know who is #1 in passing yards all-time in the NFL? Brett Farve, the same guy that is #1 for interceptions all-time.

14,000

Another veteran is his 18th year in the NBA, Tim Duncan, surpassed 14,000 rebounds in his career. His only the 11th player to ever grab that many boards and he only needs 20 more points to surpass 25,000 in his long career.
