The season does not look to be getting easier for the Rams as they lose to Chiefs 34-7 which drops them to 2-5.

In the first quarter, the Rams would get off to a great start scoring on its opening drive. Injuries would ultimately derail the Rams momentum for the rest of the game. In the first half, the Rams had opportunities they could have capitalized on, but didn't. In the second quarter defensive end Robert Quinn forced a fumble on QB Alex Smith and instead of rookie cornerback E.J Gaines falling on it to maintain the possession he then tried to pick it up and run with it which ultimately led to a null possession.
Rams special teams did no favors this game as they did last week in Seattle. Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein would miss his third Field Goal of the season which could have given the Rams a 10-7 advantage over the Chiefs.
Although the Rams had many self-inflicted wounds in the first half, they would only be down 10-7 to the chiefs. The chiefs would get the ball to start the second half. Again Rams kicker Zuerlein would muff the kick which would result in a 99 yard touchdown return for kick returner/running back Knile Davis.
From there, the momentum would continue to shift to the chiefs as Jamaal Charles would finish the day with 70 plus yards rushing and two touchdowns. Alex smith played an efficient game for the Chiefs has he completed 24 of his 28 passes for 226 yards.
Outside of the opening drive the Rams had nothing going for them on offense. Austin Davis would play his worst game of the season so far as he only completed 15 of his 25 passes for 160 yards he added a touchdown and an interception.
Neither of the Rams running backs could get into a rhythm as neither of them had over 40 yards. What made matters worse for the Rams was that 3/5 of the Rams starting line went out with an injury for the game and would not return.
Starting left tackle Jake Long would re-tear his ACL the same one he tore just a year ago. That would make both the Sam Bradford and Jake Long out with re-torn ACL's. Starting right guard Rodger Saffold would also go down with an injury and not return as did center Scott Wells.
More bad news would come this morning as multiple sources reported that leading receiver Brian Quick would be lost for the season with a torn labrum and rotator cuff. Quick lead the Rams with 375 yards and three touchdowns.
The Rams will travel to San Francisco next week as this would be the second match up between these two teams.Follow me on Twitter: @NDMHoops
