Sunday in Philly the Rams had plenty of self-inflicted wounds to keep them out of the game for as long as possible.

It all started within the first 16 seconds when the Rams went three and out. As special teams came onto the field to punt the ball the Eagles blocked the punt and scored, that marked the third straight game where they had a blocked punt for a touchdown. Also, the Rams added ten penalties for 82 yards penalties for the whole game have been a huge issue, thus far, in the season for the Rams.
The Rams were down 34-7 at one point, and the game had all seemed but over but the Rams would make a second half push scoring 21 unanswered points. The first touchdown came on a red zone rush from running back Benny Cunningham. On the next possession, the Rams had they would come back and score on a 30 yard pass to Kenny Britt from Austin Davis. On the Eagle's next possession, they would move the ball effectively but a scramble and miscued slide from Nick Foles would lead to a fumble and recovery by the Rams.
Davis would come back and lead another strong drive for the Rams. In two minutes, the Rams would go 75 yards down field and score with a five-yard pass to Brian Quick. That cut the lead to just six. On the next Eagles possession, the Rams would get a successful stop despite the Eagles trying to run time off of the clock. With just under two minutes left to go in the game, the Rams would have to go the full length of the field with only one timeout. The possession would start with a 40 yard completion to Brian Quick, which would put the Rams at midfield. From there, the Rams would go four and out, and the game would end.
Overall the Rams defense played an efficient game they kept LeSean McCoy to fewer than 90 rushing yards and only allowed the Eagles up-tempo offense to 20 points. The other 14 points came from a blocked punt and at the beginning of the second half the Eagles defense came up with a sack and a fumble recovery for a touchdown on the Rams first possession in the second half. Had it not been for the two Rams mishaps it is possible the Rams could be 2-2 as they host San Francisco next week for Monday night football.
Davis had a strong performance in the comeback as he finished the game completing 29 of 49 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns. Brian Quick led the way for Rams receivers with 87 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Zac Stacy would leave the game because of a calf injury in the second half but would finish the game with 42 rushing yards and 36 receiving yards.
The Rams fall to (1-3) and host the 49ers (3-2) in St. Louis on Monday Night Football.
