This win enables the Eagles (5-1) to keep pace with the surging Cowboys (5-1) in the NFL East Division race. The Giants (3-3) now fall behind two games to Dallas with a meeting against the Cowboys next week.
Eagles would get off to a quick start on their opening drive. Foles got into an early rhythm with his receivers along with LeSean McCoy getting some good carries to help keep the Giants defense on their toes. The drive however stalled out and Philadelphia had to settle for a Cody Parkey 31 yard field goal to give them a 3-0 lead.
Philadelphia got the all back and zipped through the Giants defense with ease. The Giants defense could barely catch a breath before the Eagles were running another play. It was capped with a tremendous 15 yard catch by Zach Ertz for the touchdown. It was a perfectly placed ball by Nick Foles to the tight end. It gave Philly a quick 10-0 lead.
The Giants defense would struggle to gain any traction in the first half as they yet again yielded another touchdown drive. This time Foles had plenty of time to find a wide open James Casey for the 26 yard touchdown pass to make it 17-0 Eagles in the blink of an eye.
The work of the Eagles offensive line was sensational as they gave Foles plenty of time play after play to scan the field and find the open receiver. Foles would finish a terrific performance on the night 21/33 for 248 yards and two touchdown passes.
Philly would open the lead a bit more as they drove down and got a Cody Parkey 45 yard field goal to extend the lead to 20-0.
Giants had some momentum as they were bale to get a turnover from their defense, which set them up with chance to get a score and get back into this game. Unfortunately for them they failed to convert and got no points out of the trip. Victor Cruz suffered a terrible injury, tearing his patella tendon on an attempted touchdown catch on 4th & 3.
Philadelphia's offense continued to roll as they rolled up their most impressive drive of the night. They went 97 yards in 8 plays to add to their already big lead. The combo of McCoy and Sproles would do moist of the damage on the drive as they sliced through the Giants defense and got big chunks of yardage with each carry.
Sproles would be the one to end the drive by scampering 15 yards to the end zone and extend the Eagles lead to 27-0. Both McCoy and Sproles, who left the game with a knee injury, finished to combine running for 188 yards and one touchdown.
Eli Manning had a rough night as he finished 13/23 for 151 yards. He also got no help from his offensive line as he was sacked a season high six times. He never got into any rhythm or flow to get this Giants offense moving.
