Los Angeles-- With roughly 13 days left in the 2013-14 NBA season, three teams are tied for the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference. The Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, and Memphis Grizzlies are all square at 44-31.

All three teams play each other in their last two games of the season. Sometimes scheduling gets it right afterall...

For the Mavericks, going 4-4 in an eight game homestand did not help their chances. Three of their four losses were against Western Conference teams and now have canvass the west coast for four games. After a much better season than last year, the team seems to be on small free fall of sorts.

The Suns will have to end their surprise season playing their best ball. Five of their next seven games are on the road, with their only two home games against OKC and Memphis. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games, but have .500 on the road their last 10.

The Griz have four of their last seven at home, but will have to face the Spurs and Heat before playing the Suns and Mavs. Their hope is that both teams will be in the resting mode to get ready for the postseason. They are undefeated in their last 10 home games.

What does this all mean? Get ready for high drama. The Spurs will not know who they will be playing until the last day of the regular season.
