| Andrew Bynum joins the Indiana Pacers. |
The Indiana Pacers signed C Andrew Bynum for the remainder of the season. Bynum will get around a million dollars for the rest of the season and provide big man insurance for the Pacers.
This year the Pacers are the front runners to beat the Heat in the East. This move also plays keep away from the Heat who would've liked a little big man insurance themselves.
Bynum was most recently a Cavalier. We all know how his half a season with the Cavs turned out, but this is a perfect situation for the Pacers and Bynum. The Pacers have the staff to control Bynum and they only need him for back up minutes.
Bynum has played 24 games this season. He is averaging 8.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg and 1.2 bpg.
He use to be one of the top bigs in the NBA. Those days seem behind him, but if he can help the Pacers maybe somebody will overpay for him this summer?
