The New York Yankees resigned their captain and living legend Derek Jeter to a 1 year deal worth 12 million dollars. Jeter had a player option for 9.5 million that he could've took advantage of but the Yankees took care of their living legend.
Jeter who will turn 40 next year had an injury plagued 2013 season. He got 12 million off of his name and what he's done for the organization as a whole and I'm not mad at him but will his body be able to hold up?
It's only a one year deal so the Yankees had to do or heads would've rolled in NY. Hopefully if this is Jeter's last year he can go out on his own terms.
