What do Darren Collision and Vince Carter think about the Mavs back-to-back wins

We recently caught up with Darren Collison and Vince Carter of the Dallas Mavericks for a few fan questions relating to this up-and-down season and trade rumors. The Dallas Mavericks have been able to put together back-to-back wins and have 3 more home games against contending teams.

Darren Collison
RFSR: Tell us a little about the morale of the team after putting together back-to-back wins?

Darren Collison: It felt good. It really feels good right now. We just got to keep moving forward in the right direction, stay committed on the defensive end and I think we should be fine.

RFSR: Coach Carlisle talked a lot about how he wants you guys to be more fluid with ball, not to many set plays. Do you feel like you guys are getting into that mode of basketball?

Darren Collison: Yeah. I think we are understanding what he expects from us. We understand what we expect from each other. It's real hard to score in this league. A lot of teams are so good on the defensive end, you can't keep running to many set plays. You just gotta go and play basketball.

Vince Carter
RFSR: Coach Carlisle talked a lot about how you guys need to be more fluid with the ball, not to many set plays, because that is what wins in the playoffs. Are you guys getting to that point now?

Vince Carter: We are moving the ball. We are sharing the ball and making plays for each other so it is making the game easy or easier by doing that. We are concious of that, at the same time we are rebounding the ball and trying to get out and run to just simplify the game.

RFSR: Mark Cuban talked about having guys like you and Dirk around to keep that culture that he wants with some of the younger players. What have you done to (Interrupted)

Vince Carter: That's encouraging, that means I'm going to be around. That's what it is, we have seen a lot, been through a lot so we kind of understand the way we have to play during good times and bad times. We have to continue to just fight through the rough times and stick to what [has] worked for us in the past. We have to hang our hat on defending, rebounding, and getting down and sharing the ball. When we share the ball and get high assists and low turnovers it gives us a chance to win. All we want is a chance to win.
