MLB: Who Can Stop The Giants From Repeating? All Signs Point To Their Biggest Rivals

Some people are hesitant to call the San Francisco Giants a current dynasty in baseball. They have won 3 of the last 5 World Series championships, but the other 2 seasons they did not even make the playoffs.

If the current trend continues, San Francisco will find themselves completely out of the playoffs in 2015. If they do fail to reach expectations, the biggest hurdle for them will be none other than the hated Los Angeles Dodgers. They made enough changes in the winter to have people worried.

On paper, some people might not think that the Los Angeles Dodgers made moves this winter to actually improve their roster. Fantasy baseball standouts such as Matt Kemp, Dee Gordon and Hanley Ramirez are no longer on the roster. Even though they are showing signs of aging, they are still going to be missed in the middle of the lineup. Instead of focusing on star power, the new management for the Dodgers went after veterans who have had October success in the past.

Jimmy Rollins and Howie Kendrick have seen better days in fantasy baseball, but they are optimistic that they can bring a winning attitude to Los Angeles. They have both been able to experience quite a bit of success, and they provide an upgrade on defense for the Dodgers. San Francisco had this mental edge over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the most important games, but now that could be going away with veteran leaders who will not back down.

Instead of being a collection of talent, the Los Angeles Dodgers do seem to be putting together a true team. Even the biggest San Francisco fan would agree that the Giants have not been able to win 3 World Series championships in the last 5 seasons because they have the best pure talent. Instead, they have been a team that bonds together and plays well as a unit. The Dodgers seem to have more unity heading into 2015, and that could spell trouble.
