This victory gets the Royals back into this series and avoid the dreaded 0-2 start to this World Series. For San Francisco, though they took the loss tonight, they go home in good shape getting a split of these two road games with two home games coming up in Game's 3 & 4.

Just as they had last night, the Giants got off to the early lead. This time  it was courtesy of Gregor Blanco, who hit a solo home run to get San Francisco a 1-0 lead. The difference between Game 1's and tonight's start to the game  is that the Royals answered in this game.

KC was able to even the score in the bottom of the first inning as Billy Butler came alive and got an RBI single that drove home Lorenzo Cain. It was the first time in a while that the Royals were able to comeback from a deficit and keep the crowd involved at Kauffman Stadium.

Kansas City would enjoy their first lead of the World Series in the 4th inning as Alcides Escobar was able to double home Omar Infante to give KC a 2-1 lead. It would be a short lived lead though as those Giants answered right back with Brandon Belt RBI double to score Pablo Sandoval and even the score at two apiece.

The Royals would have a rally in the bottom of the 6th as who else but Billy Butler knocked another run in, once again bringing home Cain to give KC the 3-2 lead.

They would really widen the gap with Salvador Perez's two run double which scored Hosmer and Gore. The game would be blown wide open with Omar Infante's two run home run to make it 7-2. It felt like the Royals opened this game in a matter of  a few minutes.

The Giants looked shocked at what had just happened. A tight game contested by both teams was turned into a blowout for the home team and left San Francisco wondering how did this all happen?

This would set up the opportune situation from them, grab a late lead before the bullpen, which has been dominant, would come in and give them that cushion to work with and try to take the team home with. They would do just that as they would go the final 3 2/3 innings only giving up one hit in that time frame.
