The Rams could have had the game go no better in the first half against the Cowboys. The first drive couldn't have gone any perfect for the team as they marched down the field and scored off of a two yard pass to Lance Kendricks.
Dallas started off shaky as they didn't get on the board until the second quarter. DeMarco Murray the league's leading rusher didn't get going until later in the first half. The Rams had made it a point to stop the Dallas rushing attack after they were torched for 175 yards last year by Demarco Murray.
In the second quarter, the Rams would continue dealing as Davis hit Brain Quick for a 51 yard touchdown. On the following drive for the Cowboys Tony Romo would come back and throw a pick six to Janoris Jenkins. As the Rams went up 21-0 on the Cowboys, the game had looked like it was over. The Cowboys would eventually get on the board and would go into halftime down 21-10.
In the second half, the cowboys would come out and score 24 points. They opened the half up with a 68 yard touchdown to Dez Bryant as the Rams safety coverage fell apart deep. The Rams couldn't get in the end zone in the third quarter.
On two drives in the third quarter, the Rams had decided to go for it on fourth down and didn't convert as oppose to kicking field goals and taking the points. The Cowboys would have a strong fourth quarter scoring on touchdown pass to Terence Williams and on the following Rams drive Davis would throw a pick six to linebacker Bruce Carter
On the last drive of the game, the Rams had a chance to make something happen with a minute left and no timeouts. As Davis started driving his team down the field, he would throw an interception to Morris Claiborne and that all but sealed the game. The Cowboys play the Saints next Sunday night while the Rams have a bye week next week.
Davis would finish the game with 327 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Jared Cook led the Rams with 75 yards receiving followed by Kenny Britt with 69. Zac Stacy led the way rushing with 67 yards rushing and also added 54 yards receiving.
