South Oak Cliff's stellar secondary, featuring six top recruits, held Cedar Hill's Justin McMillan to only 90 passing yards in the game. The Longhorns rushing attack did the job, led by Aca-cedric Ware's 24 carries, 193-yards, and four touchdown performance.

Junior David Johnson, of South Oak Cliff, in his first varsity start keep them in the game with 210-yards and four touchdowns. JF Thomas led all receivers with 108-yards and two touchdowns. The Golden Bears elected for a tough non-district schedule this year after making it to the semi-finals last season. The move may pay off with a longer playoff run this year.

Texas A&M recruit DeMarcus Lodge of Cedar Hill had two touchdowns with only 27-yards total. "Basically, I just kept calm", says Lodge. "I know what type of player I am and I know what they had to bring. I just had to stay calm and play my game."
