The Cardinals looked like they were on the ropes as they headed to the forth quarter of there games against the Chargers, trailing 17-6 but they rallied and made big plays on both sides of the ball, including a pass caught by John Brown with 2:25 left in the forth quarter to give the Cardinals the lead for good & eventual victory, 18-17 over San Diego.

The Chargers looked for all the world that they had grabbed control of this game after having a breakout third quarter in which Phillip Rivers and his team were able to put together two impressive drives that resulted in touchdowns and gave them a comfortable lead to work with as the final quarter had dawned on them.

Arizona would have an answer for San Diego as Carson Palmer engineered a very methodical and efficient drive that stretched 10 lays, 64 yards and was capped by a touchdown catch by RB Stephan Taylor, his first in his NFL career, and cut the Chargers lead to 17-12 at the time. Arizona would be the beneficiary of some good fortune as Rivers mishandled  snap on a key third down that took them out of field goal range and led to  a punt instead of build on the lead.

Palmer would once again guide his team to a long, time consuming scoring drive that would stretch 91 yards and including converting some big third down plays that kept the drive alive. It was a balanced attack as Arizona used their effective run game to soften up the Charger defense and make them vulnerable to the passing of Palmer to his wide receivers. It culminated in John Brown scoring the go ahead score at the time. It was up to the Cardinals defense to now finish the job.

They defense took that challenge on and conquered it easily. The Chargers did pick up some momentum on there last drive but  the Arizona defense sent allot of pressure toward Rivers and that sped up the passes that he was throwing, causing some bad throws from him. He also did not get help form his playmakers as they dropped a few balls along the way including on 4th & 5 to seal the L for them.
