Today, in the NBA, deals finally get done while the market hinges on Chris Bosh. Things are about to get very interesting...

Bosh World

I wrote before free agency started that Chris Bosh should not opt-out of his deal to make $42 million with the Miami Heat, but he did anyway. To learn that the Houston Rockets have offered him $88 million for four years, I have to advise my fellow Dallas native to again take the damn money! I am positive that the NBAPA feels the exact same way. Bosh is a max player and deserves to get paid as such. The Heat do not make it to four straight NBA Finals without him. The thought of Dwight Howard, James Harden, and Chris Bosh makes the Rockets automatic favorites in the West. It also clears the deck for LeBron James to return to Miami with Carmelo in tow.

Carmelo in LA

Much has been made of Carmelo Anthony playing pick-up games with Kobe Bryant in LA, but this happens like every summer. What is more important is that he has yet to make a decision. Seems like everyone is now waiting on Chris Bosh before committing anywhere.

Deals Done

I failed to report yesterday that Spencer Hawes will join the LA Clippers. He celebrated coming to California by challenging Blake Griffin to an arm wrestling match for #32. Maybe he should take a long look at Blake's picture on the side of Staples Center before making such a request.

Pat Riley gets some business done today. They come to terms with Danny Granger, two years for $4.2 million, and Josh McRoberts, four years for $23 million. No player can officially sign until July 10th. I wonder how the new signings will play with LeBron when he sits down with Riley this week.

Rumor Mill: Roy Hibbert Trade

There is speculation in Indiana that the Pacers are looking to move center Roy Hibbert. Good luck with that...
