The Atlanta Hawks center Al Horford tore his right pectoral muscle on Thursday. This is a big blow to the Hawks.

This is the 2nd pec tear that Horford has had to deal within the last 3 years, in the 2011-12 season he tore his left pectoral muscle.

There is no timetable set for Horford’s return yet. He was leading the team in points and rebounding at 18.6 and 8.4 per game respectively.

Horford is one of the better big men in the NBA and he was playing great ball before the injury.  More weight will fall on Millsap and Teague with Horford out. Horford can’t catch a break it seems, hopefully after the injury he will get a clean bill of health for awhile.

Get well Big Al.
