Former 1st pick of the 2007 Greg Oden has finally returned to the NBA and he will be taking his talents down to South Beach.
Oden hasn't played since the 2009-10 season, so a lot of people are curious to see if Oden's body can hold up during a NBA season and to see how effective he can be on the court on both ends.
The Heat won a bidding war between multiple teams and eventually signed the 7 footer to a 2 year deal at the league minimum (2.17 million total), with a player option for the 2nd year.
If Oden can stay healthy it will allow Bosh to play his natural position which is the 4 spot. At 25 I hope Oden will be able to provide solid minutes out on the court it would be one of the feel good stories of the year. A lot of people bash Portland for drafting Oden but if he didn't get the curse of Sam Bowie we may be talking about him in a whole different light.
