Dallas, TX - Jerry Jones promised big changes during the offseason and it seems the first shoe has dropped. Cowboys release defensive coordinator Rob Ryan after two years on a three year deal.
Ryan was quoted on ESPNDallas.com, "I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better. I f***ing made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like 5 minutes."
The Dallas defense was the injured list for most of this season. Ryan rarely had the chance to coach his starters at all. Most of the time is was collection of players literally off the street.
Jones has also decided to part ways with the running back coach also, but fans want to know when will he hold the players accountable for another 8-8 season. Mainly, they want to know if he will finally replace Tony Romo.
