Cowboys Fall to 1-6; New QB, Same Result

Well Cowboy fans...I think its safe to start cheering for another team to go the Super Bowl. Kitna gets his first start and did get the ball out quicker to move the offense down the field, but the red zone was still a problem. Kitna throws for over 300 yards plus a touchdown to Witten, but he had 4 interceptions. Three of those you can pin solely on the wide receiving core tipping catch-able balls. The run game was nonexistent and special teams were lackluster. With the problems on offense for this season, a lot of the media has given the defense a pass. Once again another QB has his best career game against the Wade Phillips led defense. David Garrard had 5 TDs including 1 rushing touchdown leading the Jags to a 35-17 win. It wasn't even that close. Even the fearless leader of "Cowboy Nation", Jerry Jones, felt compelled after the game to apologize to fans for the 1-6 start to the season. Coach Phillips admitted in the press conference that he was "lost" at this point and does not know how to motivate the team. Next week the Cowboys go to Lambeau Field to play the Packers on Sunday Night Football. Lets just hope that Cowboy fans will take the bags off their heads in the stands for this game.

Cowboys Suck! Tony Romo is Out! Dez Bryant is going to Hawaii! Oh yeah.....Cowboys Suck!

Ok...Now if you guys have ever heard the show then you know I'm a Cowboy fan! But boy do they suck right now! The 1-5 Boys didn't penalize themselves to a loss this time, the just got whooped. The Giants again seemed to just be more physical then the team that needed the win. The Boys came out blazing with a TD to Witten, but failure to capitalize on another turnover should have warned me then. Miles Austin was missing sure catches, the running backs could not run, and once again our secondary looked like the should be playing Saturday morning at your local field not Monday night. Eli Manning, the only Super Bowl winning QB in the NFC East, looked like his older brother directing the pass protection and calling audibles. Did I mentioned he threw 4 TDs! Bradie James and Keith Brooking were getting pancaked by the Giants offensive line all game.

To add insult to injury, Tony Romo breaks a collarbone in the second quarter and gives the offense to 14 year veteran John Kitna. Did I mention that he went 3 and out 14 straight times! He is done!

Dez Bryant was the only player on the team that seemed to play with heart. He scored 3 TDs, 2 receiving and 1 on a punt return. Maybe the players need to follow a ROOKIE as a leader. He seems to be the only player trying to win after Romo went down.

Dez...buddy pack your bags for Hawaii. Wade...pack your bags too!!!!

Dallas Cowboys Lose to the Minnesota Vikings; Drop to 1-4 and last in the NFC East

The Boys lose again! This time to the Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings. Its the same story as last week, penalties and turnovers hurt the Cowboys. Mike Jenkins was still getting called for pass interference and the offensive line was still getting penalized. We have all been giving Romo a pass because of the numbers he has put up this season. At 1 - 4 all bets are off! This pro-bowl quarterback again loses another must win game by turning over the ball. Only fitting for a player that made his introduction into the mainstream fumbling away a playoff win. This is Romo's second game in a row throwing a pick to end a late game drive. As the team was getting 4 penalties in a row you did not see Wade Phillips in anyone's face holding someone accountable. The team gets another "touchdown celebration" penalty; this time in the first quarter. After all that they, end with a desperation "miracle" play that only works in Disney movies. This is not a good team. The coach is not a good coach. The quarterback is not a good quaterback. This defense is not a good defense despite what the stats say. There are no good 1 - 4 teams.

Texas Rangers win ALDS! Advance to play New York Yankees in ALCS

Texas Rangers win ALDS! Advance to play New York Yankees in ALCS: "Texas Rangers win 5 -1 over the Tampa Bay Rays and thier first playoff series ever! Cliff Lee pitches a complete game to improve his post season record to 6 - 0 with an ERA of 1.44. The game was 3 - 1 until Ian Kinsler belts a two-run homer in the ninth inning to put the champagne on ice. The rangers celebrate tonight in Tampa Bay with a great win on the road. Up next is the New York Yankees, a series that will start in New York which should not be a problem for good road team like the Rangers. Cliff Lee will not be able to start until game 3 back in Arlington, but the bullpen will be ready to go."

Randy Moss is a Minnesota Viking again!!

That's Right! Randy Moss is now officially back with the team that drafted him. The New England Patriots traded Randy Moss for draft picks that will give them full control of next years draft. They will have 2 picks in each of the 4 rounds, but who really wins here. The Pats lose a proven hall-of-famer that stretches the field like no other. This has allowed players like Wes Welker and their new addition Whitehead to get the ball underneath and be effective. Bill Belichek has confidence in the "system" in the hands of Tom Brady to keep the Pats an offensive juggernaut, but having no Randy Moss could change things. Minnesota gets a reciever! The Vikings are in a desperate need of a reciever and ended up with one of the best to every play the position. They tried to get Vincent Jackson earlier in the season, but tslks fell through with the Chargers. We all know Farve is in his final season (if he makes it) and the addition of Randy opens up the entire offense. Adrian Peterson, Shiancoe, and even Percy Harvin stand the benfit the most by having the big play threat on the field. Randy Moss does not get his contract extended, but does negotiate to become an unrestricted free agent if the Vikings don't sign him long term.
Randy Moss will be a Viking again by Wednesday! Wow!

Texas Rangers Clinch the AL West!

Its been 11 years since Dallas/Ft Worth could enjoy both Major League Baseball and NFL action in October.   Neftali Feliz ends the ninth inning with two clutch pop flys to give the Rangers the 4 - 3 win. Its only fitting that manager Ron Washington clinches in Oakland against the A's, a team he was on the coaching staff for many years. The Rangers celebrated to a chorus of "boo's" as a dream became reality. GM John Daniels deserves a big pat on the back for sticking to the course of developing young talent. The key acquisitions this year of Cliff Lee, Vlad, and Molina paid off huge dividends on an already talented team. The only thing left now is to see who wraps up the AL East.
Congrats Rangers and Ranger Fans for winning the Al West. Its been 11 years coming !
