After researching the internet for opportunites to get more sports opinions heard I realized that I can do it myself. I needed an angle...something the other talk shows did not have. That ingredient was my Dad, Royce Fisher. He and I talked sports all time anyway and this would add a different generations perspective that would make good entertainment. Plus, my Dad is entertainment himself. We had our first broadcast opening day of that NFL season and have not looked back since. In our short three years, we have gained a following of thousands of monthly visitors on www.RFSportsRadio.com and 800 downloads/ listeners of our podcast weekly, but advertisers are not knocking on our door. Our following came by the ability to cover the national sports just like the big guys. We have been able to attend some of the biggest sports events in the world over the last 3 years like:

NEW YORK, June 20, 2012 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) today released its first-ever overall international top selling jerseys list and five-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant has the most popular NBA jersey internationally. The top 15 list was based on sales at adidas locations outside the United States during the 2011-12 NBA season.
Chicago’s Derrick Rose, Miami’s LeBron James, Boston’s Kevin Garnett and Orlando’s Dwight Howard, round out the top five. The list features three players in the NBA Finals: James, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant. International stars such as Los Angeles Lakers’ Pau Gasol from Spain, Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki from Germany, San Antonio’s Tony Parker from France, and Minnesota’s Ricky Rubio from Spain made the top 15.
The NBA also announced the top five selling jerseys in key regions: China, Europe and Latin America. In China, Bryant has the top selling jersey for the sixth straight season while Rose moves up to No. 2. Bryant had the top selling jersey in Europe and Latin America this season.
Earlier this year the NBA announced that Rose had the most popular jersey in the United States. This is the sixth season adidas has served as the official oncourt uniform and apparel provider of the NBA.

a current co-captain for the Miami HEAT and eight-time NBA All-Star, shares
insights on his life both on and off the court with a large focus on

tracing his transformation from being the child of a single parent to now
serving as one himself.

high school, college and the NBA and how much they meant to him
· The HEAT's successful 2006 NBA Championship, with Dwyane being
awarded Finals MVP, and his gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics
In March 2011, in a landmark legal decision, Wade earned sole custody of
his two young sons, effectively setting a new precedent for professional
male athletes. Most recently, Dwyane teamed up with President Barack
Obama to support his Fatherhood & Mentoring Initiative, a national
parenting program geared toward encouraging fathers to become more involved
in the lives of their children.
“As a child, I grew up with aspirations to one day be a professional
basketball player, and I am living that dream every day as a proud member
of the Miami HEAT,” said Wade. “However, the daily role I play in the lives
of my two children is the single most significant undertaking of my life,
and the job I take most seriously. While my basketball career has brought
me many rewards – including an NBA Championship in 2006 and an Olympic Gold

Tencent will offer comprehensive behind-the-scenes coverage, bringing millions of online viewers in China behind-the-scenes in real time through the use of LiveU technology -- a wireless-enabled backpack that will allow a correspondent to report live from anywhere at Finals. The NBA, the most followed sports league across social media in China, will provide coverage and insight in real time to 52 million followers on Sina Weibo and Tencent QQ.
The NBA will have unprecedented Finals coverage in India. Ten Sports will be onsite and all games will air live. A new trivia program, the “NBA’s Biggest Fan,” was conducted in India this season during NBA broadcasts on Ten Sports and two fans won trips to The Finals. Ten Sports will chronicle the fans’ behind-the-scenes Finals experience to complement their game coverage. Journalists from other top Indian outlets will also be onsite including Times of India, the Hindu, and Times Now.
Al Jazeera will televise the games live for fans in the Middle East; fans in Africa will receive expanded coverage with three partners airing Finals for the first time: SABC1 (South Africa), Spectrum TV (Cameroon) and Multi TV (Ghana).
In Europe, The Finals will be live in 48 countries and territories in 32 languages. There will be expanded coverage through new partnerships with D-Smart and CNN Turk (Turkey), OTE Sport (Greece), and Viasat SportEast (Russia).
The Finals will be live in 47 countries and territories and 4 languages throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. ESPN will bring The Finals to fans throughout the region and games will be live in movie theaters in seven Mexican cities through Cinepolis Cinemas.
Fans throughout Asia will receive live coverage of The Finals and the league will host a series of viewing parties in the region. In the Philippines, NBA Premium TV and Basketball TV will host viewing parties beginning with game four; ESPN Australia will host a game two viewing party for more than 100 guests; and WOWOW in Japan will host 300 guests for game two in conjunction with Basketball without Borders taking place in Japan from June 13-16. NBA Global Ambassador Dikembe Mutombo, Sam Dalembert (Houston Rockets) and Vladimir Radmanovic (Atlanta Hawks) are scheduled to attend in Japan.
Four international players will compete in The Finals: Oklahoma City’s Serge Ibaka (Congo) and Thabo Sefolosha (Switzerland) as well as the Miami Heat’s Ronny Turiaf (France) and Joel Anthony (Canada).

No matter what happens in Game 7, the 76ers have already won
The stage is set for another epic game in this historic rivalry that includes some of the greatest players in NBA history. I have the Cs winning this game purely because they are at home, have a veteran team, and Rajon Rondo should be motivated to make-up for his bad play in Game 6.Even if Boston advances, the 76ers should consider forcing a game 7 a win. They started out the season red-hot, but took a huge nose dive after the All-Star break. 76ers entered the playoffs as a 8th seed having to go through the #1 seeded Bulls. Lady Luck has been wearing a '6ers jersey ever since. Injuries to Derek Rose and Joakim Noah helped pull off the upset. Now an injury to Avery Bradley and Ray Allen has helped push this series to 7 games.
For Doug Collins and his young team to get this kind of playoff experience together will be phenomenal for the organization and the players for years to come. The NBA is a "rite of passage" sport. First you make the playoffs and exit in the 1st round. Then you get the second round or conference finals to lose a close series in 6 or 7 games. Only after that, you finally build the mental make-up of a champion. Luckily for 76ers fans their team and coach get to do this together.

Despite early exits from Utah and Dallas, the playoffs have gone as expected. We started with 16 and now we are down to 8. As we move to the second round, teams to watch are the Thunder, Pacers,and the Clippers.These young teams are built to win now and in the future. With and least 1 or 2 superstar and a wealth of talent on the bench, they can easily be crowned this years champions. With such a compact season, these young guns are primed mentally and physically to challenge anyone for the championship. Should Drew Brees Stay With The Saints?
Many would look at the off season for the New Orleans Saints as a sports death march. Not only have they lost a head coach, a GM, staff, and players behind "bounty-gate", but they have yet to lock-up the most important piece to the puzzle Drew Brees. The Saints placed a franchise tag on Brees before the suspensions started to rain down much to the dismay of the former MVP. The last time Brees played under such designation he suffered a career-ending type injury on the last game of the season while a San Diego Charger. Many teams wrote him off after that except for the New Orleans Saints. Drew has been adamant that he will not start the season under a franchise tag; he wants to get paid.Should he resign with the Saints? The entire bounty program that caused the turmoil was designed to attack quarterbacks. Two of the more high targets, Brett Farve and Kurt Warner, ended their careers to Saints defensive "bounty" hits. Is Brees up to facing the possible retaliation from other defenses that missed out because their quarterback could not continue?
In the back of his mind he has to ponder; do I really know these people? Sean Payton has been suspended for the entire season for his cover-up of the whole bounty program after being warned a year prior. Saints GM Mickey Loomis will miss the half the season and has more recently been accused of having a device in his suite at the Superdome that would allow him to listen to the opposing team's headset conversations. Owner Tom Benson has not been willing to meet the QB's salary demands, but found over $300 million dollars to purchase the New Orleans Hornets. Brees' only saving grace to stick with the Saints may be the city of New Orleans. He and his wife have become pillars in the community since the devastation of hurricane Katrina. Saints fans can only hope that Saints management feel the same way.

Four Players Get Suspended over Saints' Bounty Program; Vilma Suspended for 2012 Season
The hammer has finally dropped. Roger Goddell and the NFL have finally issued out suspensions for the players they deemed most involved with the Saints' bounty program. Their level of involvement is debatable, but Jonathan Vilma, much like former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and head coach Sean Payton, received the most severe punishment with a full season suspension.Click here for more details
