Attorney in PA states his client will testify against Jerry Sandusky

The Associate Press is reporting that attorney Ben Andreozzi of Harrisburg, PA has a client that will testify to the allegations of sexual abuse against Jerry Sandusky. He commented that the recent interview with Bob Costas has further victimized those that were assaulted by Sandusky. He also expects more people to step forward to testify.

Tim Tebow or Mark Sanchez? Give me Tebow...

Before you start writing your, "Are you crazy?" comments, hear me out. Tebow plays within himself. He knows what he can do as a quarterback. Sanchez has always tried to do too much, usually costing the Jets a shot in the Super Bowl. Call it play calling or coaching if you want, but just watch the game. Tebow is a leader. Tebow is a winner. I would rather start a team right now with Tim Tebow over Mark Sanchez. (Period)

Great Read: A pox on both the NBA's labor houses! by Michael Wilbon

You'll have to go someplace else for a point-by-point analysis of the players' union's rejection of the NBA's most recent offer; of the difference between disclaiming, which the players' association announced it is doing, and decertifying. I'm not saying the points and all their nuances aren't important; I'm saying that like most people, I'm tired of the debate, tired of what seems like whining over billions of dollars at a time when so many Americans are searching frantically for a second job just to pay the rent.

I'm tired of the hearing...

Video: NBA issues revised proposal; 72 game season starting December 15 - NBA Union response

David Stern and Adam Silver give the union a new deal to deliberate that would start the season on December 15th and would consist of 72 games. David Stern said, "many teams don't like this offer". He also admitted that many players will not like the offer either. Reports are saying that the minimum salary cap will be raised and the new mid-level exception would be $2.5 million not $5 million. They do not anticipate anything to be done until Monday when the player reps get together again.

Penn State should forfeit the rest of the season; Morally right thing to do

The Penn State Board of Trustees last night decided to fire both Coach Joe Paterno and President Graham Spanier as the first steps to righting an unbelievable wrong. Board vice chair Joe Surma stated, "The University is much larger than its athletic teams." The press conference to announce the firing of Paterno continually referenced how Penn State will make decisions from a moral perspective. After all, Penn State is supposed to be the morally right institution graduating over 80% of its student athletes. If you truly want to do what is morally right then you forfeit the rest of the season and bowl season.

For the last decade the athletic department and school officials knowingly allowed a pedophile to use its facilities as his own devil's playground. For an entire decade Penn State put its football program ahead of the 40 to 100 innocent children that were abused by Jerry Sandusky, who had an office on campus. To knowingly put sexual abuse over college football tradition is the wrong of all wrongs from an institutional standpoint. Now with this Saturday's home game against Nebraska, Penn State will again put football over abuse.

The student athletes that will play in this Saturday's game will be directly affected by the cancellation of the season. But they will get over it. This is a chance for a state university to show the world and its athletes that morals are more important than sport. After all as the Joe Surma put it, " The University is much larger than its athletic teams". Prove it...

Joe Paterno and Graham Spanier out; Penn State starts to move forward

The real reason why the NBA deal did not pass; New meeting set for today

There are several reports that the NBAPA and NBA owners are back at the negotiating table today in an effort to get something done before the 5pm EST "hard" deadline. There has been a lot made about the BRI split being the big issue, but it is not. It is the system itself.

Should the Cowboys take a chance on Albert Haynesworth? No...

Haynesworth was cut by the New England Patriots yesterday after playing in only 6 games and making 3 total tackles. Coach Belichek has commented that he has 5 players for 2 positions and Haynesworth is the one to go. Speculation has been made that this has a lot to do with his war of words with a Patriots coach on the sideline during last week's lost to the Giants.
All that said, should the Cowboys take a chance on a player who was once the best defensive lineman in the NFL? Can Rob Ryan and Jason Garrett accomplish what everyone else could not by getting Albert back to form? The answer is no. Bill Belichek and Mike Shannahan are both better coaches then Jason Garrett. There is no reason to think that Garrett has the magic potion to turn Albert back into the beast that terrorized offensive lines when he was a Titan. The move would only cost the Cowboys roughly $750,000 for the rest of the season. Too big of a price to pay for an unmotivated player.

Paterno retires amid Sandusky allegations
