- I think we can be more physical. We've allowed them to get to the rim unscathed too much.
What do you need from your starting unit that you haven't been getting in this series?
- I just think with our team, with the way we're structured, we bring a lot of our better guys off the bench. Right now Marion is playing too many minutes. It's very difficult to ask him to be in a stance and guard the best players on the planet for 43 minutes and hey, go score and do what you do at the other end. That's on me.
Just found out here at Game 4 that Marc has been named new head coach of the Golden State Warriors. He has already made his first hire of Mike Malone as assistant coach.
"I fully expect the Golden State Warriors to be a playoff team next year. We are going to turn the bay area upside down", says the former Pacers point guard.

The story of this series so far has been the defense of Jason Kidd on Kobe Bryant in the fourth quarter. When asked about Kidd's D coach said, " We haven't had to put him on him for long stretches. That has been the biggest help for Kidd."
You have to credit the Mavs defense as a whole for the 0-3 lead, plus the unstoppable shot of Dirk Nowitzki. Coach went on to say, "Each team knows what the other team is doing at this point. Great players break down coverages, then you have to scramble. Good teams are going to adjust to any defense."
